Umbra Winery is a Texas winery based in Springtown, Texas. The urban tasting room is located in Grapevine, Texas and is part of the Urban Wine Trail. John Wilson and his wife Debbie, purchased an existing winery in January 2013 and opened the Grapevine location in late 2014. The duo has created a distinctly European flair having lived, traveled and honeymooned in Europe. Their love of wine, food, travel and culture is evident throughout. They have since acquired the third oldest vineyard in Texas from Dr. Bobby Smith taking the operation literally from grape to glass. The vineyard has been operating for over 40 years and the team has now expanded its facilities to include an 8,000 sft Spanish-style villa Events Center with tasting room/patio, estate barrel room with onsite cottages for overnight stays.
