I owned a successful floral event design company in Dallas for more than twenty-five years. I was a member of many industry organizations and served in various board positions from member–at-large to president. I was also a founding member of several organizations in the Dallas area. A direct benefit of my participation in these professional organizations was learning to network and promote my company on social media. As social media became a more prominent marketing tool, I learned how to maximize my company’s presence through social media. I have won many awards as a professional business woman and developer.
